I use plain (unflavored) Lifeway kefir whenever I make tuna salad, salmon salad, or chicken salad sandwich. I am using kefir as a substitute for mayo. My sandwiches are healthier, lower in calories and delicious! Lifeway kefir is a staple ingredient in my kitchen.

  27. Kefir saved my life, improved digestion, allows me to function and it’s delicious! No jokes, my daily consumption of Lifeway Kefir keeps the balance between diet and health, for me, as it should be. Prefer mine chilled in a glass, with breakfast, or any other time of day. It goes with me on the road, keeps my guts calm, and needs no prescription. Diverticulitis has met it’s match, although I can’t substantiate these claims, I do speak from experience, since 2011, my life has changed for the best. <3

Our favorite way to drink Kefir is to blend it in a smoothie. I gave a toddler and let’s face it, she doesn’t dig eating most vegetables. We do a fruit and veggie smoothie with blueberry kefir. Fresh baby spinach, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, banana, Chia and flax seeds, a tablespoon of coconut oil and Kefir. I usually add water to break it down since most of the fruit I use is fresh frozen. My girls love it!

  41. I use kefir to make more kefir out of milk and also to make kefir cheese out of milk. We also eat kefir cheese by itself or with toppings like peanut butter or fruit. Also I use that cheese for pie fillings (add raisins) or make a sweet frittata-like dish out of it (kefir cheese, sugar, eggs and any berries or fruit – bake until cheesecake-like consistency). And of course we drink it by gallons!

I drink it as it comes, as a thought you could use it in coffee instead of the artificial creamers and flavored creamers. In the area I live there aren’t many options, at our local WalMart I have seen 3 flavors, 2 fruit and 1 plain. Enjoy the tastes of all I have tried

When I was little the dream recipe was Cheerios and lifeway , then came bananas and lifeway and now I down it when ever it’s around with what ever is around. I put onions and figs in once just to try. I also empty the classic frozen kefir containers in two nights top.
