This fabulous French toast recipe is a satisfyingly decadent breakfast that’s bursting with nutrients and natural berry flavor. It’s easy to make. We start by soaking a few slices of whole grain bread in a mixture made with Lifeway Kefir. This allows the toast to cook golden and crispy on the outside and rich and creamy on the inside. French Toast
- 6 slices of medium-cut bread (whole-grain)
- 2 tbsp of flaxseed meal
- 1 cup Organic Whole Milk Vanilla Kefir
- 1 tsp of vanilla extract
- pinch of salt
Berries
- 1/2 - 1 cup of mixed berries (blueberry, blackberry, raspberry)
Farmer Cheese Blend
- 1/2 cup Farmer Cheese
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
Directions
- Soak the bread in the whole milk kefir mixed with vanilla, salt and flax.
- Cook the bread on a hot pan with butter till golden brown on both sides. Set aside to cool.
- Mix farmer cheese with honey and cinnamon and begin layering the french toast with the creamy spread.
- Top the french toast with fresh berries and enjoy!
