Chocolate Layer:
- 3/4 cup Organic Whole Milk Vanilla Kefir
- *or you can use our Lowfat Vanilla Kefir or Plain Kefir
- 1 frozen banana
- 3 tbsp. cacao powder
- 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
- handful fresh mint
Green Layer:
- 3/4 cup additional Lifeway Kefir
- generous handful of fresh mint or 1/4 tsp. mint extract
- 1/4 of fresh avocado
- 1 frozen banana
Toppings:
- dark chocolate chips
- drizzle of no sugar added chocolate syrup
- fresh mint
- whipped cream or coconut cream
Directions
- Blend the ingredients for each layer separately. Add the chocolate layer to the bottom of 2 glasses, then top with the green layer in each glass. Swirl slightly to mix them.
- Drizzle each smoothie with no sugar added chocolate syrup, and garnish with dark chocolate chips and fresh mint. If you want to add whipped cream on top, feel free. Enjoy!
