We highly recommend making our Tropical Turmeric Smoothie as part of your National Relaxation Day. It’s a blend of banana, pineapple, ginger, turmeric, chia seeds, and our lemon kefir garnished with a few fresh mint leaves. Sip on it during a refreshing nature walk or after an invigorating workout. Pineapple has vitamin C; chia seeds are loaded with fiber, protein, and omega-3 fatty acids; ginger and turmeric both have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties; and our kefir has protein for muscle recovery, calcium for strong bones, and probiotics that may balance the gut microbiome. With all of those amazing health benefits, you might as well call it a wellbeing tool because it’s way more than a smoothie.
Prebiotics + Probiotics = a Healthy You
Prebiotics are non-living, non-digestible carbohydrates naturally found in a variety of foods. Your body actually can’t digest prebiotics, so they’re what probiotics feed off of to remain actively working in your digestive system. They help the digestive system by promoting the growth of good bacteria. Prebiotics and probiotics work together in balance to make sure our digestive system stays on track and regular. Research has found that consuming a variety of prebiotic and probiotic food sources may improve your body’s natural functions, including both your immune and digestive system.Servings: 1 - 2
