Prep Time: 20-30 minutes Servings: 8-10

Directions

  1. Preheat an oven to 375° F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper.
  2. Evenly space out each piece of bread on the pan, and drizzle each one with a light layer of olive oil. Bake the bread for 12 minutes or until golden brown. If using a toaster oven or smaller oven, you may need to only cook it 8-10 minutes, so watch it carefully.
  3. Right after the bread is done baking, place the pan on a counter, and butter the bread while it's fresh out of the oven so it melts nicely. With a butter knife, spread 1 tbsp. of Lifeway Kefir Butter on top of each piece of bread. Let the bread sit on the pan for 5 minutes or so to cool a little.
  4. Spread about 1/4 cup of Lifeway Organic Farmer Cheese on each piece of buttered bread. Note: If using 10 slices and not 8, you'll need a little more than the 2 cups of Organic Farmer Cheese called for.
  5. Top each piece of bread with a thick slice of tomato, and lightly press it into the cheese. Finish each piece with a small dollop of caviar and a fresh sprig of dill, a sprinkle of flaky salt, and freshly cracked black pepper.
  6. Serve and enjoy right away for the best flavor and texture.
