- 3/4 cup Farmer Cheese
- 1 orange bell pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1-2 tbsp dried oregano
- Sea salt, to taste
- 1 sourdough loaf
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Assorted Italian meats (salami, prosciutto, pepperoni)
- Arugula
- Basil leaves
- Sliced pepperoncini or banana peppers
- Slice the sandwich and enjoy!
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Halve and char bell peppers for 20-25 minutes or until charred.
- Combine yellow mustard, oregano, olive oil, Lifeway Kefir Farmer Cheese, and sea salt in a jar. Shake well to create a sauce.
- Slice the sourdough loaf in half. Brush with olive oil and grill or heat until toasty.
- Spread sauce on both bread slices: layer meats, arugula, basil leaves, pepperoncini, and roasted bell peppers.
- Slice the sandwich and enjoy!
