To make this recipe, we blended mashed avocado with some garlic, soy sauce, Lifeway Kefir, and pepper before spreading it over toasted sprouted grain bread. Then, we layered spoked salmon on top and added some everything but the bagel seasoning; you could also just use some sesame seeds on top instead. This hearty meal is rich in benefits, hearty and satisfying thanks to its savory umami flavors, and has an excellent combination of crunchy and creamy textures from the toasted bread and creamy avocado kefir spread. That makes this recipe a toast with the most, if we do say so ourselves!

Directions

  1. Toast the bread to your liking. While it's toasting, make the avocado kefir spread by scooping the avocado out of its shell, then adding it to a blender or food processor with the Lifeway Kefir, garlic powder, lemon juice, soy sauce, tomatoes, and black pepper. Process/blend until creamy.
  2. Spread the avocado mixture onto each slice of toasted bread once it's finished toasting. Top with slices of smoked salmon and add the everything bagel seasoning, or just sesame seeds and a light sprinkle of salt on top . Enjoy!
