It’s that time of year again! Natural Products Expo West is here and the Lifeway team is all hands on deck as we showcase our latest and greatest kefir products. We’ve been working hard over the past year to formulate fantastic new kefir flavors and products for you to enjoy and can’t wait to reveal them now!
It’s no secret that we strive to improve ourselves every year and develop products that meet the needs of our Lifeway family. From our no-sugar-added Perfect 12 Kefir (it’s sweetened with stevia) to our ProBugs Pouches and Blasts, to Protein Kefir, we’re always looking for new ways to get the incredible benefits kefir into the hands of as many people as we can.
This year, we may have out done ourselves! We’re not only launching five new kefir flavors, we’re also launching a completely vegan and allergen-friendly product line!

Women’s Health + Immunity – a powerful blend of probiotics, antioxidants and vitamins (B, C, and K) to support general women’s health while supporting healthy skin, hair, and nails. Contains 10 strains of live and active probiotic cultures and delivers 20 billion CFU of activity
Traveler’s Defense + Immunity – the perfect probiotic for people on the go, this formulation is especially effective for treating and preventing symptoms of traveler’s diarrhea, thanks to the presence of s. Boulardii. It contains 11 strains of live and active probiotic cultures and delivers 50 billion CFU of activity
Not ones to ever forget about children, we’ve also developed a line of gentle and effective chewable probiotics to help restore the balance of good bacteria in the digestive tract and support healthy immune function in children ages two and older.
An extension of our popular ProBugs Kefir for Kids products, each ProBugs Chewable tablet (available in grape and strawberry flavors) includes nine live and active probiotics, including three strains – Bifidobacterium bifidum, Bifidobacterium breve and Bifidobacterium longum – that play important roles in helping prevent and treat symptoms of celiac disease, severe diarrhea and gastroenteritis. They will also contain two billion CFU per tablet and are certified gluten-free, vegan-friendly, non-GMO, Halal and Kosher. They’re also free of allergens such as nuts and lactose.
Fat is Back
Back in 1986, when we first started making kefir, our first batches were made with whole milk. Thirty years and countless bottles later, we’re still making the richest, creamiest full-fat kefir you can buy, and are now offering new flavors!
With new research suggesting that full-fat dairy may be associated with a lower risk of obesity, and with a desire to provide you with as many options as possible, we’re pleased to be releasing four new flavors of Organic Whole Milk Kefir: Peaches & Cream, Coconut & Cream, Strawberries & Cream and Lemon Meringue.
Each new flavor will contain the same 12 live and active cultures and 15-20 CFU per serving you love, as well as 10 grams of protein and 8 grams of fat. Look for them in 32 oz bottles on shelves of your local grocery store soon!
Fresh Florals for Spring
In February 2016, we teamed with world-famous fashion designer and Chicago-native Cynthia Rowley to release our first-ever collaboration bottle and flavor. To be frank, we’re elated to finally share Hibiscus Rhubarb Pie with the world.
Drawing inspiration from the fresh flavors and regenerative nature of spring, our Limited Edition Hibiscus Rhubarb Kefir is a new way to integrate the components of a healthy lifestyle across multiple platforms and show that healthy living is always in style. It’s our way of showing that being health can be (and should be) fashionable and fun, and the two worlds don’t have to be far apart from each other.
