Lifeway Kefir: Good for our Community

Continuing our exploration of how Lifeway Kefir is good for more than just you, we’re excited to share more information with you about our work with nonprofit organizations. Charitable Partnerships are a cornerstone to the Lifeway Mission. All over the world, selfless, dedicated people are doing great things with very little. Lives are saved, burdens are lightened, children are comforted, and so much more. Countless people work tirelessly to make the world a better place, and we salute them.

We’re proud to support a spectrum of organizations that are dedicated to the promotion and protection of equal human rights globally. From international maternal health advocacy groups and childhood nutrition programs to local and global sustainability initiatives, we’re committed to keeping the future bright for generations. Lifeway Foods is proud to support many worthy organizations, including:

Charity Miles – App-based Charity Miles uses their Charity Miles app to enable people to earn corporate sponsorships for charity while walking, running or biking.

Every Mother Counts – Every Mother Counts (EMC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to making pregnancy and childbirth safe for every mother by working to reduce the number of women who die due to complications during pregnancy and childbirth. The agency focuses on education and practical training.

United Nations Foundation – The United Nations Foundation (UNF) works to mobilize and facilitate cooperation between UN member nations during times of global disaster, conflict and peace.

Chicago Gateway Green – Chicago Gateway Green (CGG) leads urban beautification and greening projects that make a positive environmental and aesthetic impact on the city of Chicago, leading to improved quality of life through healthier living.

Girl Up – Girl Up envisions a world where all girls, no matter where they live, have the opportunity to become educated, healthy, safe and counted.

The Clinton Global Initiative – CGI convenes global leaders to create and implement innovative solutions to the world’s most pressing challenges and works to help improve the lives of hundreds of millions of people all over the world.

Renewable Choice – Renewable Choice is an organization that helps companies become industry leaders in sustainability initiatives by helping increase transparency, reduce risk, lower costs, leverage competitive advantages and improve stakeholder relations.

Common Threads –Common Threads works to empower children to eat healthy, make sustainable behavior changes, and celebrate culture through food via their family-centric cooking and nutrition programs and curriculum. Furthermore they work to prevent childhood obesity.

Test 400k – Test400K works to raise awareness, advocate, lobby, and push for innovative new technology to be used in ending the backlog of untested rape kits and make sure communities and law enforcement provide immediate and swift response time to victims of sexual assault going forward. Its goal is to empower healthy and safe communities by ending violence against women and children.

YearUp – YearUp is a national organization that is dedicated to closing the opportunity divide and creating a future where every urban young adult has access to the education, guidance and opportunity to reach his or her true potential. Currently, Lifeway works with YearUp to provide experience and training for interns in various departments of our company.
