- 2 pieces sourdough or gluten-free bread of choice
- 1cup Farmer Cheese
- 1 1/2 cups fresh blackberries, washed
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds
- 1 tsp. raw honey
- juice of 1/2 a lemon
- optional: other nuts and seeds of choice, coconut flakes, or gluten-free low-sugar granola
Directions
- Toast the bread to your preference.
- While it's toasting, place Lifeway Farmer Cheese in a food processor, add 1 cup of fresh blackberries, and then add the lemon juice and honey. Process until you get a thick purée.
- Remove the bread from the toaster, place on a plate, and spread 1/2 the farmer cheese mixture from step 2 onto each piece of toast.
- Add 1/4 cup fresh blackberries on top of each piece of toast ,then sprinkle each piece with 1/8 cup sliced almonds. Add any other toppings you wish (nuts, seeds, low sugar granola, coconut flakes, etc.).
