We’re so excited to be heading back to New York City for the Food Network & Cooking Channel New York City Wine & Food Festival presented by FOOD & WINE! We always have a blast mixing and mingling with our favorite chefs. More, we’re can’t wait to show off and sample our latest and greatest kefir creations to crowds of hungry foodies.
We don’t participate in the New York City Wine and Food Festival (NYCWFF, for short) just to talk kefir, though it’s one of our favorite parts. The festival actually raises funds that provide food relief and fight childhood hunger – two of our leading missions. In fact, 100 percent of the net proceeds will benefit two very worthy organizations, Food Bank For New York and No Kid Hungry. Food Bank For New York City is New York City’s major hunger relief organization that fights hunger in the five boroughs. No Kid Hungry is a national campaign ending childhood hunger in America by ensuring that all children get the healthy food they need, every day.
Fun fact: since its inception, the festival has raised more than $8.5 million for these charities, helping them provide for those they serve and closing the gap on hunger in our country. We couldn’t be more pleased to support these great organizations.
Feast Your Eyes, Feed Your Belly
We’re not ones to brag, but we’ve outdone ourselves this year with the the kefir creations we’re showcasing at the festival. We’ve worked with one of our favorite chefs and kefir fan Seamus Mullen and our friends Simple Mills to create deliciously energizing Super Seed Muffins that we’ll be serving at the Greenmarket Brunch presented by Lifeway Foods®, hosted by Geoffrey Zakarian, part of LOCAL presented by Delta Air Lines. At Stacked: Sandwiches and Sides hosted by Tiffani Thiessen, part of LOCAL presented by Delta Air Lines, we’ll be serving a Lifeway Team favorite – frozen kefir cookie sandwiches, made with Lifeway Original Frozen Kefir and Lifeway Mango Frozen Kefir. We’re bringing back our veggie kefir, paired with our creamy Farmer Cheese, to Veg Out: Stretch, Sip and Savor presented by Hungryroot hosted by Haylie Duff. Finally, we’ll be at the Blue Moon Burger Bash presented by Pat LaFrieda Meats hosted by Rachael Ray, serving our green tea raspberry and vanilla frozen kefir bars, complete with chocolate and coconut shavings for a DIY kefir bar sundae!
Tickets for some of these events are still on sale, but they won’t be for long! Grab them, and find out more about the festival, by visiting nycwff.org
