We’re taking a throwback approach with these bright and cheerful Pineapple and Farmer Cheese Bowls. We took the classic pairing of cottage cheese and freshly cut-up pineapple pieces and turned it into a gut-loving, protein-packed bowl that snack dreams are made of, because instead of cottage cheese, we used Lifeway Farmer Cheese! With no lumps or clumps, Lifeway Farmer Cheese is easy to enjoy right out of the package, and it doesn’t require any blending before you enjoy its luscious texture in simple snacks like this recipe.

Just dollop some of our protein-packed cheese in a bowl with fresh pineapple, add any other fruits you enjoy (we chose cherries here), and any additional toppings you like. Fresh herbs like mint work well as do other fruits like strawberries, papaya, or fresh mango. The alluring tropical sweetness of pineapple works magically with farmer cheese’s mild flavor and velvety texture, plus this pairing offers your body prebiotic fiber and live and active probiotic cultures found in Lifeway Farmer Cheese.

Directions

  1. In two bowls, place 1/2 cup each of Lifeway Farmer Cheese, and add 1/2 cup of fresh pineapple to each bowl with 1/4 cup cherries to each bowl (or another fruit if using).
  2. Add a drizzle of honey to each bowl and fresh mint, as an option, or any other toppings you enjoy. You can also prep these up to 2 days in advance if you want to make bowls ahead of time for easy grab-and-go snacks!
